All artwork, images and content belong to Stan Paintings unless stated otherwise and may not be copied, reproduced or used without permission.
If you’d like to share or feature any work, just ask first.

Commission process

A commission is confirmed once a deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is due before the artwork is delivered.
Prices vary depending on size, complexity and number of subjects and will always be agreed in advance.
I reserve the right to decline a commission before any work begins.

Reference photos
Strong reference photos are essential for creating a successful portrait.
After your enquiry, I’ll guide you on what works best.
If the images provided don’t allow for a strong painting, I may ask for alternatives before starting.
All work is created based on the photos supplied, and I cannot guarantee accuracy beyond what is visible in those images.

Artistic approach
Each piece is painted in my own style.
By commissioning a portrait, you’re trusting my interpretation rather than expecting an exact photographic copy.

Revisions
Composition and key details are agreed before painting begins.
Minor adjustments may be possible during the process, but significant changes or full repainting aren’t included once work has started.

Timescales
Estimated timeframes are shared when booking, but may vary slightly depending on drying time, workload and complexity.
If you need a piece for a specific date, please mention this when enquiring.

Delivery
Artwork is carefully packaged and sent using a tracked service where possible.
Once dispatched, I’m not responsible for delays caused by couriers or customs.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please get in touch within 48 hours with photos so I can resolve it.

Cancellations & refunds
Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
If you cancel before painting starts, a refund may be offered at my discretion.
Completed commissions are non-returnable as they are personalised.

Copyright & usage
Copyright remains with the artist.
I may share images of completed artwork on my website and social media unless you request otherwise.
Artwork is for personal use only and may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

Care of artwork
All pieces are created using quality materials designed to last.
Framing behind glass and avoiding direct sunlight is recommended to preserve the work over time.

Liability
While I take care in providing accurate information and a smooth process, use of this website is at your own discretion.
I am not liable for any loss or damage resulting from its use.
